Evidence standards

The same rule runs through the whole network: no source, no number. These pages explain how each partner applies it, and how Sheni Labs grades the evidence behind its own work.

Sheni Labs method

The lab’s own method — desk verification against public registries, evidence grading, verdicts and governance — is published and versioned at Methodology v1.0.

One standard, nine sites

  • Sourcing: every figure links to the table, report or article it comes from; estimates are labelled as estimates and reconciled when two institutions differ (for example the ILO’s and WHO’s global work-related death figures).
  • Review: GILS drafts are fact-checked against their sources before an editor sees them; GMJ articles are peer-reviewed; Academy courses state their objectives and sources; ASF standards cite the international standards they draw on.
  • Corrections: published corrections pages and a right of reply for organisations named.
  • Independence: the research programmes are funded by PHIG alone and are independent of government, social partners and international agencies; roles held by individuals in international organisations are personal and do not bind those organisations.
