Sheni Labs — is this product worth it?
The product science lab created by the Public Health Institute of Georgia. We check supplements, traditional and complementary medicine products, cosmetics and perfume and home products against the public record — the evidence, the law, and the registries behind every certificate, logo and laboratory report on the label — and we say plainly: recommended or not. No laboratory testing; verification of what can be verified. The method → The simple front door to supplement.ge, our ingredient and brand database, and to the research of the Georgian Medical Journal and its newsroom.

What a verdict means
Three questions we ask of every product
Does it do what it claims?
Claims are checked against systematic reviews and trials, graded by strength; a claim with no evidence is a claim we flag.
CompositionIs what is inside right — and disclosed?
Ingredient, form, dose, additives, allergens and contaminants, against the label and the regulation.
VerificationAre the certificates and logos real?
ISO and GMP certificates, testing marks, organic and halal logos, laboratories and companies — each traced to the issuing register. A logo with no record is unverifiable; one contradicted by the record is false.

A PHIG initiative
Sheni Labs is an innovation of the Public Health Institute of Georgia: one system, created by the institute, to look at every consumer health product from every side — the evidence, the ingredients, the regulation, the documentation — and to give the population plain, independent safety information. It works with the network’s institutes and platforms — the Georgian Medical Journal, GMJ News, SupplementIndex, the Georgian Institute of Labour Studies, GMJ Academy, Accréditation Sans Frontières and the Accreditation Canada – Georgia office. The lab is funded by PHIG; organisations may commission assessments, and a fee pays for the work, never for the result. The network →
