Natural vs Synthetic Vitamin E
What is the difference between natural and synthetic Vitamin E? Natural d-alpha-tocopherol (from vegetable oils) and synthetic dl-alpha-tocopherol (chemically produced) are structurally different. Natural Vitamin E consists of a single molecular form; synthetic contains a mixture of eight stereoisomers, only one of which is the same as the natural form. The body preferentially absorbs and retains the natural form.
How much more bioavailable is the natural form? Studies show the natural d-alpha-tocopherol form has approximately 36% higher biological activity than the synthetic dl-alpha-tocopherol equivalent. This is why Sheni Labs uses the natural form despite its higher cost.
Usage
Recommended use? Adults: 1 drop daily, with or without food, unless otherwise advised by a healthcare professional.
Is this suitable for children? Keep out of reach of young children. Consult a healthcare professional before giving to children.
