Overview

Sheni Labs Astaxanthin is in active development — a naturally oil-soluble carotenoid antioxidant, algae-derived, in the same liquid drop format as Sheni Labs Vitamin D3.
Why Astaxanthin
Astaxanthin is a carotenoid antioxidant naturally produced by the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis. In its natural ester form, it is genuinely oil-soluble — not merely suspended — which is why virtually every legitimate commercial astaxanthin product is oil-based.[1]
Clinical research has associated regular astaxanthin intake with improvements in skin elasticity and hydration, and reduced markers of UV-related oxidative stress.[2] Separately, laboratory studies in model organisms have linked astaxanthin to extended lifespan via effects on mitochondrial function.[3]
At a glance
Format: Liquid drop, same format as Sheni Labs Vitamin D3
Source: Algae-derived (Haematococcus pluvialis)
Composition
Serving size: 1 drop (approx. 0.06 ml)
Servings per container: approx. 800
Astaxanthin (natural, from Haematococcus pluvialis): 12 mg — no established EU NRV*
*Astaxanthin is a carotenoid antioxidant without an established EU Nutrient Reference Value. The 12 mg dose is the upper range studied in published clinical trials on skin elasticity and UV-related oxidative stress markers.
Ingredients
Astaxanthin-rich oleoresin from Haematococcus pluvialis, MCT oil (Medium-Chain Triglycerides).
Natural astaxanthin esters from algae are used — not synthetic astaxanthin. The natural ester form is genuinely oil-soluble and delivers more stable antioxidant activity. MCT carrier oil (Miglyol® 812 N), Ph.Eur. grade.
How to Use
Adults: take 1 drop daily, with a meal containing fat, unless otherwise advised by a healthcare professional. Astaxanthin is a fat-soluble carotenoid; absorption is significantly enhanced when taken with dietary fat.
Important Information
Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of young children. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
